Another nVidia Issue. Can't click on any button during the video wizard playback

So I'm at the point where I could get into Ubuntu GUI.
Double click on the LinuxMCE launcher.
I still have an error saying something about not being able to render the blending mode or something.
Although I'm pretty sure I installed the latest nVIDIA driver (100.14.11).
I tried also installing it manually... envy... editing xorg... none of these come to fruitful.

So when LinuxMCE finally launched, I should see a video playback of this lady saying something.
She says to click something.. but I couldn't even click on anything.
And even worse, now there is no video at all and not even an audio.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hagen

Just a couple of things
You do mean Kubuntu and not Ubuntu right?
What Nvidia card is it?
6, 7 or 8xxx?
did you try the default Nvidia driver that comes with LMCE? (not new enough for 8xxx and some laptop 7xxx cards)

I'm on Ubuntu.
Should I switch to Kubuntu instead?
The card is 8800GTS.

I have to use the one that comes with Ubuntu (nv) and it will work, but I can't set it to perfectly fit my screen and it's slow as heck.
Envy has a better result in terms of visual (perfect resolution) but I can't even click on anything :(

LinuxMCE runs on KDE, a fresh install is assumed for it to install without hitches.
Nut I don't think the driver that comes with LMCE works with the 8xxx yet? atleast many are reporting problems with it.
