USB Hard-drive / Windows formatted
« on: September 11, 2007, 03:20:41 pm »
How do I add a USB Hard-drive to LinuxMCE.  This hard-drive has a folder in it (which is Windows NTFS-formatted) called G:\Mp3s_2006.  Of course the drive letter ā€œGā€ could be anything.  It gets plugged in and seems to work but when I goto [Media] then [Audio] nothing is showing.

*hmm* do you just not read anything?

if linuxMCE did not detect your disk, it probably couldn't read the filesystem. I do not have any NTFS partitions to test, but if it worked, you should have been able to tell LinuxMCE to use the disk, and that all the data on the disk was public... I'm not sure if Kubuntu has read/write support for NTFS out of the box?
