ZWave in MD
« on: September 16, 2017, 06:16:51 pm »
Do the zwave controller (Aeon Zstick Gen5 in my case) need to be in the core or could it be placed in an MD?
The reason i ask is because i want to move the server running LMCE core to another building on my property, still on the same network infrastructure.

There should be no reason to need an interface to a home automation system in the core, only.

Wow thats a quick reply! If i look on the zwave interface the parent is the core, not the hybrid MD, hence my confusion.

If you install the zwave interface on the MD, it should be detected and setup accordingly. At least, that's what it should do :-)
