Hey Everyone,
Can anyone tell me difference between LinuxMCE and Pluto? I just can't find any real information on this.

Also how the hell did LinuxMCE work so well on the demo video?

P.S. This Project looks like it going to go far!
Thanks
Sam

Pluto is a modified Debian (the base is Debian) with software made by Pluto developers for controlling media and other devices. Linuxmce is a software derived from Pluto (only software for media and the other devices) that stands on top of Ubuntu.
You say that that the project is going too far. Well, the people wants this kind of software for controlling everything.

Would that mean Pluto would run more efficient as it was build just for media and not as a desktop (I only want it as MCE)

from my experience with Pluto and Linuxmce, they are running the same, as long as you have recommended hardware (recommended by Pluto developers). Linuxmce is built especially for users who are using Ubuntu as desktop. if you want only a system for media and device controlling Pluto is very good.

version 1.1 probably will be a bugfix release. it will be released as soon as many bugs are solved. maybe in may we will have 1.1 version.
