Depending on your needs on the MD, I would go the rpi2 route and nothing else.

I have some experience with these style of devices and they will be promising in the future.  They will not work ootb with linuxmce at the moment.  None of the video/network/etc drivers are in upstream linux kernels yet.  Hopefully soon.  It will take some development work to get it to function with linuxmce once those items are more readily available. 

If someone wants to send me one I'd be happy to see what is possible.  :)

As posde indicates, for a low power MD the best item to use is the rpi2 at the moment.
