question about internet radio
« on: February 23, 2015, 11:40:24 am »
When checking internet radio in the webadmin, I see a list of radio station that have been found externally. There is a button below to add them, I presume, but in the orbiter none show up..am I missing something?

It seems I have a few problems here. I think something is broken on my end. I tried adding a station manually, but it's not playing...how can I get rid of this? The other thing is, I tried this

, I can stream this via my android tablet, but on once, it unceremoniously closes the player immediately. Anyone got an idea?

mmm.  yeah.  I have the same issue.  We need some tlc on the webadmin page for radio stations.  I'd love to do it, but it'll be forever before I get to it with all I'm trying to do right now.

mav: if you can't get anyone to help with the webadmin page in a reasonable amount of time (week or two) then PM me and we'll get it done.

I can't remember who made the web admin page for radio stations (it wasn't me).

But I did complete the support for streaming audio in LMCE. Have you seen this http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Internet_Radio ("How to use" section)? This is working fine for me..

I will give this a try, though I still don't know how to clean up the clutter I have created.

Thanks, Sambuca, this works as described. I did have to try a little, but finally got it. However manipulating an existing stream...i am a bit clueless...like for example I want to add a picture for the station...how can I find that one again? Too bad that radio page is not working properly...it surely lists a lot of possible stations.

Sorry for the confusion. I didn't want to edit scenarios, but rather adding a logo to the radio station. Anyway I found it again via the  mediabrowser.
thanks again for the help

I found something! I think there is a script missing. The webpage for internetradio is trying to execute /usr/pluto/bin/radioscript.sh to add stations...however I cannot find this script anywhere.
______________
Update: I received the missing file and it I'm not mistaken, it should come with an update
Other than that..?it's working nicely.

I also dont know who made that page in the web-admin, but i made that script. I dont know if it is adapted to be used with the webadmin.

But the webadmin page is on my to-do list, please be patient a little longer.

sorry for the late update....the issue so far has been resolved by Alblasco...the script in question wasn't in the repo. I got it and now I also got internet radio. Thats working nicely. What I'm missing is an easy way to edit them, like putting logos or perhaps have favourites...something like that.

UPDATE:

I've had some time to work on this, so I've added logo support in the radioscript.sh, and i adapted the webpage a little.
These are minor changes, but i need some feedback on the webpage.

To get the logo's automagicly, you have a run the radiostation.sh script with the delete option, en then you can add them via the webpage, or via radioscript.sh

Both new files are attached in this post.

For people who want to try, please backup the origional file (which was working)
radioscript.sh goes to /usr/pluto/bin/
internet_radio.php goes to /var/www/lmce-admin/operations/mediaBrowser/

This sounds great!  Dap-P could you create a ticket in svn and attach your files?  I'd be happy to incorporate the changes into the current 1204/1404 development.

@Phenigma If someone could provide me with credential for trac, then i can make a ticket.

Meanwhile i did another update on the webpage,

I added a default sort function (Thanks Golgoj4), made some new labels, and added a delete function.

For people who want to try, please backup the origional file (which was working)
radioscript.sh (from my previous post) goes to /usr/pluto/bin/
internet_radio.php goes to /var/www/lmce-admin/operations/mediaBrowser/
