Raspberry Pi MD Flirc
« on: February 08, 2015, 05:26:00 pm »
I saw where there might have been an attempt to get this integrated. Is there an update on this? Has anyone attempted this on the RPi? Looks like a cheaper more compact device compared to the USB UIRT.

Here's a link

I've not seen this device before.

It doesn't look like it needs any support from LinuxMCE, put it in a PC, program it for the keyboard commands you want that LMCE supports.  Plug it in to the pi or other MD and it should work, emitting keyboard key presses for whatever IR button you program.

That was what I thought. I did order one. I'll give some feed back here. Looks like a nice addition to the RPi.
