Hi guys
I installed the 3-25 snapshot last night while connected to vga. While in the A/V Wizard I selected HDMI for both video and audio with UI2. The problem I am having is that if I boot using HDMI, the PC boots to a terminal requesting DCERouter Login, ig I boot using VGA,the system boots up as it should but I get no sould.

Has anyone else experienced this?
How can I invoke the A/V wizard again so I can test different settings? I have an NVIDIA card so I was thinking it would be compatible but that is just a guess.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

If you want to rerun the AVWizard, since VGA works, on the LMCE menu bar goto the far right and select Advanced > then to Advanced and select "video res and audio setup".  This will cause the system to reboot and rerun the AVWizard.

If you downloaded the 28858 (last 5 digits) snapshot from Mar 25 do you have an ip addresses for eth0 and eth1?

Sound is probably something to do with alsamixer.

Cheers.

yes I have an IP address on both.  I'll re-run the av-wizard and see if I can get things going that way. I was trying togo through HDMI so I could use my Onkyo receiver

Thanks

Hi,

Dont using UI2 with alpha blending, use the middle choice.

You should be fine with HDMI, 1080p, 60hz as choices.

Your sound card should be detected as pci something during that set-up point.  You have only 1 sound car detected - correct?

Your monitor should support 1920 x 1080 as a resolution.

Cheers.

Thank you guys.
I followed your advice and re-run rhw AV Wizard, selected HDMI, chose the middle option not the UI2 w/alpha blending and selecteda 720 resolution and rebooted, unplugged the VGA and switch my TV's input to HDMI and it came up ok this time and with sound.

You Rock!!!!!

Thanks again.
