I like the almost steam-punk icons...
See my User page on the LinuxMCE Wiki for a description of my system configuration (click the little globe under my profile pic).

Looking very nice, i am curious on how you want to do the floor plans, media navigation and media file grids.
Makes me wanna see more :)
Keep up the good work.

Agree, very nice...

And i'm also very interested to see how the floor plans will evolve.
I'm using LinuxMCE mostly for home automation, so...

It's a nice design, the only thing I may suggest, is that the icons be drawn by the same artist, so as to have consistency. The icon images do not look consistent, different lighting, styling, etc. Consistency is _exceedingly_ important, and makes the difference between a good design, and an exceptional one.

Yes I agree. e.g. imho the telephony icon really jumps out.

Hey ....

thanks for your response.
Except the climate icon, its one icon set!
As you may know, its really difficult to find free, good looking, reasonable sized, icon sets that cover most of the buttons needed for LinuxMCE ...

If you know a good icon set let me know :-)

@tschak909, you are right, good consistent icons are the base of a good design. Icons will be the main issue on that design.

LoL
So I guessed the wrong one.
Still I think the telephone is too much.

polly

i already asked a professional designer to do some photoshop magic to create a consistent Icon set.
This will take it's time.

For now i'm good with this icon set, till there is the new one.

Next screen users want to se is floorplan i guess...

golgoj4

yeah because my current one is fugleeeeeee!

seriously, keep up the good work.

hey ...

i have to rethink the menu. i missed the function to open the floorplan.

i think about opening the floorplan doing a double click on the main icon. good or bad? ;-)

ochorocho

Marie.O

Floorplan in Orbiter is used by clicking on the main icon. Double clicking is no option for qOrbiter.
