Almost installed!!

I realize they are in italian but under the column "specifiche tecniche" everything you need is in english

I've installed everything, i reboot i get all the "Starting core services" installing this and that and then i get starting mce ecc... the i get black screen with a white mouse pointer and thats it.. I tried running avwizard again and putting something lower but nothing, als if I ctrl+alt+backspace to exit X and logon and then run startx KDE starts normally with no problems

what am i missing??

another thing, when i launch KDE it tells me there is a distro upgrade for kubunto 9.03 or something should i upgrade kubuntu first?

ok i got it on my own, i selected the basic interface. How do i test for OpenGL and XDamage to see if i can run the medium?

Open a terminal window. Type glxinfo,... look for direct rendering being enabled and the OpenGl rendered string.

Your previous output said you had an Intel GMA 3100, which means you're probably fine with UI2 with alpha blending on LinuxMCE 10.04. The 3100 series are successors to the GMA 945 series.
