got 1004, and cant add my files to public folder. Or am i just going at it the wrong way......

Cant log in via ftp to add, can only log in and write to my own home folders.
smb is the same, cant authenticate. username and password doesent lett me logg inn.
and when i go to desktop on the core, i have no permission to write to public folder. So is there a correct permission setting for public folders(subfolders)? Or is there some other settings im missing?

I just verified logging in from a Windows PC to the core with username and password as have been setup during the initial Sarah Wizard, i.e. Username and Password being the name of the User of the system.
If I helped you, feel free to buy me a coffee: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=2VKASZLTJH7ES

Strange, created a folder with sudo, then tried to log in with sftp. And then i could create a folder....
Not sure if its the "sudo" folder or not, but now i can write stuff on ~public :)

confusing but fixed :P Thx for the reply!

Not a million miles away from what happened to me with regards to creating folders, permissions, etc http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php/topic,11862.15.html no idea what was going on there, but it's working now.

Cheers,
Matt.
