I am not sure I am really needing to use LinuxMCE. I have a very basic requirement. I purchased a Tricklestar US USB controller and GE appliance module that supports ON/OFF.
All I want is a very simple program that I can run from a cron job nightly to power cycle something. (In my case, they are tuners and set top boxes used by an existing MythTV setup).
Can anyone provide me with some pointers? I found a site openzwave but there was so little information on there. There is supposedly a program on that site under SVN control. I grabbed it and ran the test util, but it did nothing by hang after opening my device. Grepping for my USB vendor/product ID in that code yielded nothing.
My Fedora 14 detected the device, but what program will let me pair my device and send commands to it? Thanks a lot for any help/pointers.
