I have one ZWave related question, is there a way to get some basic ZWave functions working when for whatever reason LinuxMCE is not working?

For example can I setup that when Everspring_SP103 motion sensor has detected motion that HomePro ZDW232 dimmer light switch turns on the lights?

How is that done if possible.

Cheers,
Valent.

It seems you are looking for the associate feature of ZWave. This allows you to associate for example your motion sensor with the light switch. I think you can send a command to the main ZWave device to set associations, but you should also read the manual of your devices to see how to associate. (Some devices are sleeping devices, which may require you to press a button to wake up and receive command, like set association).

I can associate both devices with Aeon Labs Z-Wave Interface with built-In Inclusion Remote (USB stick). I'll try do associate them one with other, but none of them says it has built in inclusion.

I still don't get how ZWave is supposed to work. Need to see how it works to understand it.

Her is some reading http://www.smarthus.info/support/download/zwave/zwave_install.doc

It is also very important to read the manual for the specific device you are using. Different devices can work in very different ways.

Got new Core and after clean LinuxMCE reinstall I'm back in sadle ;)

Finally got main ideas behind ZWave inclusion and association. Associated dimmer switch with zwave lamp plug and got it to work, finally!

Thank you all for helping out. If there is any other ZWave noobs on forum feel free to ask me some basic questions because I probably now know best what kind of beginner issues you could be having.
