I have been trying to search my system and google but, I can't see where I should look. I have built a new system with new hard drives and I originallly stored my .id3 tags and I would like to import them back into system. I am not sure if this will work but, I want to try. So if you could please tell me all the locations where the .id3 tags are and how I update the database so I don't have to do all this again. Thank you. If this is a really easy answer I apologize I have been looking though.

When I copy .id3 tags into the directory which holds the media, they populate the grid.
I never quit... I just ping out.

so just put them in the same directory as the movies then.

Hi canukguy,

id3 files that contain the meta data about the video/dvd they refer too are created in /home/public/data/videos automatically and in any sub-directories beneath that. Just copy them plus the video files they are linked too over to your new drives /home/public/data/videos directory and updatemedia will find them and populate the DB and your cover-art and meta data will appear in the Orbiters media browser screens. This may take a several minutes or more to appear in the Orbiter depending on the size of your media library.

All the best
