Having trouble with DVD install. If I go here http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/DVD_Installation , but when I boot up there is options to boot to "live"CD or install kubuntu or install LinuxMCE ,not what is displayed on that page.
I have tried different ways to install but nothing seems to be working, like the "wizard", it's not giving out IP addresses, admin page no accessible.
Do install kubuntu from live CD then reboot then start the MCE install from the desktop icon?
Do install kubuntu from boot screen then reboot then install from desktop icon?
I would assume the if I choose install MCE from live CD boot screen that would install EVERYTHING, but that doesnt seem to be working either, I would reboot, login at promt, startx, but the install icon is still there and still nothing seems to be working.
Right now doing ANOTHER install, havent seen any errors YET. THIS install I did from the "install LinuxMCE" CD boot prompt, but nothing seemed to be working so I clicked the "install" MCE icon on the desktop.
The install system is real confusing, IMHO if I download a LinuxMCE cd or dvd and I click ANY install it will install Linuxmce.
Oh, I am trying create a "HYBRID"
Thanks  ???

From my experience DVD installation of 0810 causes a lot of problems. Especially if don't follow by hardware suggestions, i.e. one network interface instead of two. I made several installations from the scripts and can say that it's much much better then DVD installation. Even with one network card and under vmware.

And yes, from the boot menu you should choose "Install LinuxMCE" option and not "Install Kubuntu".

I finally got it installed, before I was booting into a USB pen drive for the install ,cause the server didn't have a dvd player, but I found and old dvd player in the junk pile. Everything went smooth after that. But I did install from cd prompt "Install linuxMCE" then after it was installed and rebooted had to click "install MCE" on desktop icon.
Doing it like that kinda made me feel like I was installing it twice.
