Hi all,

I have an video.mkv file containing multiple audio streams (French, English etc.)
LMCE starts to play the French stream.
When I use VLC to test, (XP) I can choose which audio stream to play.

Is there a way to select the available audio streams in Xine?
Am I missing something obvious here?

Thanks for your help!

Any pointer as to what specific strings may be entered here?
I'm looking at #92 Subtitles and #93 Audio Tracks.

How would I add command #140 (Audio Track) and make it 'usable' / controllable by the Media Handler / Xine Player?

Thanks for any pointer!

If you play MKV file using mplayer (renaming to mkv to m2ts does it) then the audio stream can be changed by pressing key '#'. Not sure how to do this with Xine. But I'm very interested to know it as well. Also AVI file can have more then one audio track. It'd be nice to have possibility switch between them as well.

Michael,

Thx for replying, I was not aware off the #-key;
Will try this out, also changing extension.
I'd like to make this work.

Also be able to have the 'resume from here' function pick up on:
- the previous subtitle choice
- the previous audio track

Let's do it!

There is a program in ubuntu that you can strip off the unwanted audio tracks. The program is called mkvtoolnix.

Macaroni,

(I'll have some now :-) )
I'd rather be able to select audiotrack & subtitle than remove or add it.

Thanks,

Erwin
