Home Automation Stand-alone?
« on: January 30, 2010, 07:00:47 am »
I have LinuxMCE in my living room as my dvr system. I don't keep the computer on 24/7 because it uses a lot of power. I do, however, have a rackmount server that consumes very little electricity and want to set it up to run my home automation system because I can keep it running and online 24/7 and that allows for easier functionality of the service..is there a way I can install just that part (by it self) or something?

Thanks.

Hi,

search for Core, Hybrid and Media Director (aka MD) on Wiki. You can install Core in Rack and have MD in living room.

Thanks in advance,
