hardware help

I have borrowed a mates shuttle and made it a core, using my laptop as MD. I now want to build a decent spec core but done have an experimental budget to try mainy bits of hardware.

Any recommendations for a decent motherboard with presumably a good amount of pci slots

We're using an Intel D945Gnt motherboard in one of our cores successfuly. Good for a stand alone or Hybrid core and with 4 pci slots good for experimenting with multiple TV cards.
