Can the 'dcerouter' name be changed, safely?

'dcerouter' doesn't really fit into my network naming schema.

Is it safe to change it?

I wouldn't bet on it. At least the upnp automounter will mount your shares and duplicate all your media entries. (At least it did last time I tried, although this was some time ago...)

definitely not, I would leave it as is... rather a disjoint schema than broken system.... need to understand that this is a truely massive system in terms of interaction.... whilst somethings should be general in principle it is a simple matter of shear workload to get to that point in practice because of the amount of code involved.... and frankly the name of the core is way down the list of priorities!

Thanks. I suspected the host name would be hard-coded in numerous places, but thought I would ask. [I was surprised to be unable to find such a question / answer already. I'm just not choosing good search terms, I guess.]
