First, I would suggest concentrating on the DVD install, not the CDs - they are for specific purposes that probably don't apply to you.

1. Put the DVD you burned in a drive on Kubuntu or XP, what does it have on it? If there are lots of files/folders then you burned it the right way. If there is just a single .iso file then you haven't burned it correctly.

2. If burned the correct way: how did you download it? If you didn't use the bittorrent download, then use the md5sum checker to ensure that the download is not corrupted.

3. If the download is not corrupted, when you burned the DVD, did you choose the slowest possible burn speed your drive can handle? This is important to ensure you get a good burn. Try re-burning it anyway.

4. I assume from your post that your BIOS is set to boot from the drive before HDD? If you have another bootable disk, like a Windows installation disk, try booting from that to prove that it is even attempting to boot from the DVD drive.

I got the iso-dvd from the site http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Mirrors_0710 and it's not the DL dvd. I used torrents.

After download - right click, open with nero and then burn.. Works for me with other boot dvd/cd's

When i put the dvd in my drive on xp, then nothing happends.. I can open it, but its blank so somethings is wrong.. Just don't get it..
Is there any specific way to burn this or what..

I will try again in standard way.. Select boot dvd in the menu and so on......

No, selecting "boot dvd" is not how you do it. That option is only for adding a boot sector to the DVD, when you are burning the actual files onto a DVD. You aren't doing that you are burning a DVD image.... that is what the .iso is. The image is a complete image of the DVD including the boot sector, so there is no need to play with those boot options. BUT you do have to burn it using a program that understands .iso images and can expand them into the raw sectors that need to be burned to the DVD, otherwise you will just end up with the .iso file on the disk rather than the contents of the iso file. And then bootable or not, there will be nothing to boot from.

I'm sure nero knows how to do this, probably from the File menu there will be an option to select an image - just look for a dialogue that has .iso as one of the image formats. Otherwise use a tool that deals with them all the time. I use PowerISO, there is a free/trial version and it is very simple to use. It can be used for 'mounting' iso images as virtual drives which is very handy, but also for burning them. You just hit File-Open, choose the slowest speed from the menu and hit burn.

Well.. Got Ubuntu on my other com. + I did make Kubuntu cd's, I got Window7 dvd's..
All burn the same way.. Right click, open with Nero, Burn..
Then I took these, put them into the drive and the com. starts up and boot. They all work.

Now when I do this from the LinuxMCE dvd, then nothing happens. No boot it's just starting up normaly and when I check the dvd/cd in the drive it's empty.. I find that very strange to me

Hmmm... after your torrent download finished can you tell me what file you were left with and whether it had a .iso extensions?
