Hi,

I'm following instructions on Wiki :

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/ELO_touchscreen

but get warnings :
Quotedcerouter_79506:~# apt-get install elo-touchscreen
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  mythtv-transcode-utils: Depends: mythtv-common (= 0.20.2-3lmce710.0) but 0.20-1 is to be installed
Depends: libmyth-0.20 (>= 0.20.2) but 0.20-1 is to be installed
Conflicts: mythtv-backend (< 0.20.2-0ubuntu1) but 0.20-1 is to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

Since I'm not experienced Linux guy, I'd kindly ask for advice what to do next, not to break fairly working setup...

Do you want to continue [Y/n]? n

Also I'm switching from EGalax touchscreen to ELO. How stable do you find ELO ? Is it ok ?

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

I use 2 ELO touchscreens at the end of my MDs and I have no problem so far which are related to the screens itself. Mine are wall-mounted. But I don't use the mentioned package, I use the evtouch driver. You can find several information related to ubuntu on the net.

I think, the link provided is not the best solution - or the working solution... I tried installing elo driver that way, but no luck... Then i used the following howto (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=579155) and is working GREAT!, no problems at all...

How about updating that wiki page then?
