Problem with Screen Saver/UI2
« on: November 11, 2008, 02:48:38 am »
I just reinstalled LinuxMCE on my box after being overwhelmed with some other issues. The issue I'm having (and this has happened even during the first installation) is that the photo screen saver is very slow. This is on an Nvidia 7100 chipset. I can also see the screensaver's window borders. I'm suspecting that's the issue, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

I've had some other problems during the first installation, but I'll make separate threads for them if I see them in this installation.

Check your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file in the device section. Is Driver set to "vesa", "nv" or "nvidia"?

I suspect that your 7100 is not getting detected correctly by the AVwizard and is being mis-configured.
