I have posted here after experiencing a problem with watching live tv using mythtv as posted in this thread

For simplicity I have given the error line below:
cx88[0]/2-bb: Firmware and/or mailbox pointer not initialized or corrupted
This would now seem to suggest that there is a problem with cx88 drivers, although I have not managed to find any evidence of others on the internet who have experienced the same problem.
Any thoughts/comments welcome ?
