« on: August 01, 2008, 08:58:37 am »
I keep getting the same error.

/bin/mkdir - "No Such File or directory"

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Can you perhaps give us a few steps on what you did before getting to this error?
Was it a DVD or CD based install?
Was it a clean install?
How far had the installer got to?
did you verify the checksum on the downloaded ISO?
etc..

Yes I did verify the checksum.
I redownloaded just be sure to a different location.  Checksummed both DVD ISO's and both cam back perfect.

Version = LinuxMCE 0710 RC2

I then rewrote 2 DVD's at the lowest possible speed. From the Different locations and both have no failed at the same point (See Below).

I now get to after the section that says
(Tar: Read Checkpoint 37000)
I get a error that says "/usr/bin/lite-installer.sh : line 400 : /bin/mkdir: Input/Output Error.
I changed my DVD drive in the box and still the same error.

Machine Specs.
P4 2.4
2Gb Ram
120 Gb Hardrive
Intel Chip

I have run disk diags on the drive no bad sectors.

I have also tried the CD install.  Kubuntu (710) installs with no problem I always only get a hassle installing LinuxMCE.
