Can not add new diskless MD
« on: July 03, 2008, 01:32:47 pm »
Hi all;

just starting with Linux MCE and generaly love it but having some problems setting up diskless MD's.

I boot from network on them and get an IP that is not for MD's (default IP ranges and geting 192.168.80.253).

I have tried to add a new MD in the admin web page and get "ERROR: Error creating device. Be sure LinuxMCE is running", all other functions are running from the web page.

The CORE is running on a PC under a desk that does not have a monitor.

I have 7.10 Beta 3 installed on a Pent 4 2.8 Ghz with 512mb RAM (working on more ram and hdd).

Can anyone help?

Thank you for your time.

Make sure the md has only 1 nic enabled and the nic is set to pxe boot.

Why btea 3?  the 0710 Release (RC2 ) is much improved.
