I installed Kubuntu 7.10, then installed LinuxMCE using the 2 iso's (32bit)

When I rebooted after installation I went through the 5 or so initial setup screens, resolution and sound screens.

Then when I get to the KDE desktop (I chose to have to manually startup linuxMCE) I started up LinuxMCE launch manager and fired up MCE.

The very first screen you get, with the words "When you can see and hear me, select 'Next'..." and obviously a video is supposed to be playing, but I have no video or audio.

I then tried to play a movie in Xine, kaffeine and Mplayer. Xine just crashes start after displaying the splash screen, kaffeine and Mplayer crash apoun trying to play an movie.

kaffeine was able to pick my DVB-s card and I did a scan which picked up all the FTA channels on Astra 28.2e but again if I try to view on of these channels it just crashes.

Here's the crash report from kaffeine:
