 ;D

What exactly have you tried? What kind of video card, and connected to what type of viewing source? (TV, monitor, projector, etc..)

Have you looked at the AV wizard bit in the wiki? http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/AVWizard

A little more information would be great!  ;)

Hi There,

That card uses an ATI Radeon x1250 graphics chip... unfortunately ATI graphics hardware does not get auto-detected correctly and therefore the ATI driver does not get installed currently. However see this Wiki page entry I added a while back to get this card working;

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Display_Drivers#ATI_Chipsets

Once you have followed the Wiki page instructions for adding the ATI driver 'fglrx' then you should find that UI2 + Overlay works fine.

Hope the above helps you.

Thank you it worked. But I’m missing sound. Do you know what the problem could be?

Hmmm... its certainly gor nothing to do with your ATI card.

When you ran the AVwizard did the audio tests fail to produce any sound?

How are you connecting your Core to your Audio system? Check that you have your BIOS set correctly for analog or digital audio... that can sometimes cause problems.

I am connecting thru an hdmi cable to the TV.
I wasn’t an option to set BIOS for analog or digital audio.

Hi.

Do you have an DVI to HDMI adapter on the output of your Video card?

You connected a HDMI cable to the T.V. ?

HDMI cable out to the T.V. through a DVI to HDMI adapter doesn't provide any audio unless you have a SPDIF connector from your motherboard SPDIF out connector (if there is an onboard pin-out) to your Video card SPDIF input.

(This is dependent upon your video card supporting a mobo to video card SPDIF connection.)

Without this you need to provide a HDMI video input and an analog sound input from the PC to the T.V.

What kind of T.V. are you trying to connect to?

I'm using a HDMI/Analog audio input combination on my LCD.  Port #6 on a Sharp LC46D64.

I hope this helps.
