REQUEST: UPDATED LIST OF COMPATIBLE TV TUNERS?

I have all of the other components picked out for my MCE, but I still need a tuner, and the manufacturers' websites never say anything about Linux drivers.

Can somebody please give me an updated list of compatible TV tuners?
Brands like Pinnacle/Hauppauge and other well known brands with good support would be best.

Thanks a lot!   ;D

currently the list is very simple:

SD:
Hauppauge PVR-150/250/500/USB2

HD:
SiliconDust HDHomeRun

and hopefully, the new HD-PVR when we get drivers, it is the first on the list for a new device template...

Of course, these are the best tuners to use because they are supported directly in both LinuxMCE's direct AV functionality, and in MythTV.

To support more, you need a TV tuner that can output an MPEG-2 (or maybe with a bit more work to Xine, an MPEG-4 stream)....

You CAN use MythTV supported tuners, but you will have to configure the tuner card manually in MythTV setup, and you will not have access to the Direct AV functionality.

So under the list you linked there are entries like this -

" DViCO FusionHDTV5-Express

Looks like a HD card.

Is this supposed to mean that this card has been used and has drivers?

Thom thanks for the actual reply. The Wiki can be very intimidating for anyone new to MCE.

Yes, looks that way indeed.  Can't say if it works since I don't own one myself, but fortunately several others that do, have been kind enough to leave comments indicating so.
