Resurrecting pluto repositories
« on: March 05, 2008, 02:02:51 pm »
I've spent many an hour this last week fighting a Pluto or LMCE system without luck so far. Various things have tripped me up on route

I'm happier with Pluto. The test system i had going a couple of months ago was working fine.
i prefer the terminal based core and also my server did not like running the LMCE mixed hybrid situation.

So there are three questions:

1.Is it possible to get the pluto distributions anywhere now that http://deb.plutohome.com/debian is no longer valid

2. Where do i set the sources.conf for a MD. When i correct the location of reps from yttron.ru to its current location on the core, they do not end up in the list that is built for diskless set-ups. Is this in a temple somewhere.

3. Once I get past updating the sources.conf on the core, can i get it to re download everything it should have during its set-up apt-get update does not seem to search out everything.
Essentially i want to to re-run the set-up with its new sources.

unfortunately, this is not the best place to discuss this. the PlutoHome forums might be better for this.

Use the CD installer to install without media capabilities, then follow this wiki page to get it to boot without X.  Probably not as fancy as the old pluto bootscripts, but hey it works.

1. No idea, like Thom said you'll have to ask PlutoHome.
2. Don't you mean "sources.list"?  That file should be under /etc/apt/.
3. I'm not sure what you mean by "want to to re-run the set-up with its new sources".
