Glad to hear its loading for you now.  Yea you'll have to do some tweaking to get the mixer to work properly.  I haven't played with the file yet I just copied what they had on the wiki. 

Doing some searching to see what other have done and this is what i've come up with for the audigy LS which I believe is very similar to the value.

Have you had any luck?  I've got my volume to work inside the UI but I cannot mute my card using either the UI or alsamixer itself.

I've had it working for a while, but not satisfactorily. I can adjust volume only outside LMCE. I can, though, mute it. I think the key to getting it working inside the UI is to set the correct device for the mixer in the media player's settings.

What did you have to do to get your volume working inside the UI? If we compare settings, we may be able to discover why you can change volume but not mute, while for me its the other way around.

BTW, I've discovered the Value and LS are the exact same card. The difference seems to be what is included inside the package with the card.

For me

click the change resolution button from linuxmce launchpad worked !
The pc restart, then do again the video and sound settings then after restart it work back !
