Hi,

Orbiter should work on Windows 9x too, but we did't try it. Please send us a feedback if it works.

Thanks
Chris M.

I installed the win2k orbiter on Windows 95 but it fails in UpdateBinary.exe which is apparently downloaded from the dcerouter. It gets an invalid page fault at 0137:004021c0. Is it worth trying to upgrade to win98 and trying it? I can provide the registers and stack if you need them.

I have a bunch of old Panasonic CF-01 devices with touch screens which would make wonderful orbiters if you would only support win95 or win98. These are small memory (24 emg max) devices so hopefully orbiters will fit in that much memory.

Turns out I was somehow able to get past the UpdateBinary problem and Orbiter.exe seems to run on this platform. I am not sure how to debug UpdateBinary.exe. Will mingw32 cross compile your windows apps?

Hi,

I think the only thing that might worked bad is the way UpdateBinary is spawned (the command line parameters). Please go to Orbiter's folder and search in the log file a text like this: "Ready to start: UpdateBinary.exe comm file". Then send me an email (chris.m@host.com, where host is plutohome) with +/- 20 lines of log from that area.

Best regards,
Chris M.
