ATI Radeon 9250 PCI Card: Has anyone got it working to get atleast UI2 Working?

I've been working on trying to get my ATI Radeon 9250 pci card to work with direct rendering. I've been looking all over the place and have had no luck. Anything from the script from ATI themselves, to the fglrx driver from Ubuntu. I'm about ready to cry. Anyway, some real facts.

When I run the ATI script for installing the driver, it stops with the error of:

./ati-installer.sh: 97: Syntax error: Bad substitutionAfter that I installed the fglrx driver from Ubuntu and got:

(WW) fglrx: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:1:5:1) found
(EE) No devices detectedand proceeds not to run the X server. Another thing I've tried is to set the driver on ati. That didn't work either. I'm at a lost. Here is my xorg.conf file: (NOTE: Most of the file was made by LinuxMCE/Kubuntu.)
