Hi,

I have a alc885 it is meant to support DTS passthrough, however I can not get this to work.
I have tried setting pass through in the xine config but to no avail.
I have tried mplayer vlc and xine.  Also the AVWizard doesn't spit out the DTS test.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Just an update DTS passthrough works with a DVD, but if I try say an mkv (x264) file with dts I get no output :(

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Another Update :P

Ok, if I go into alsamixer and mute the spdif (iec958)
then crank up aplay (aplay -D spdif dtsfile.wav) it works,
but using vlc, xine or mplayer I get nothing...

Any ideas?

**edit
Ok Mplayer seems to work randomly, however the file I tried with mplayer was a 1080p x264 video with dts sooo much jitter etc :(
Need to figure out how to get this to work 100% of the time, then wait for 1080p support I guess :P
