Sound Card Volume will not work. Please Help.

Ugh, This is slightly frustrating...

I can not change the volume of the sound output.

I have an iPod hifi connected to the soundcard. I have no receiver.

I did create a template for my TV, but I did not add any volume commands, (nor did I add any volume commands for my DCT-6200 cable box template that I created)

When I change the volume, there are no infra-red pulses sent out my UIRT...and I can't find a reason why the mixer settings aren't being altered...

I have tried two sound cards... the built in intel-hda on my Intel motherboard, and a CMI-8738 based soundcard. Both exhibit the same exact behaviour.

WTF? how do I solve this?

upon more investigation, I have determined that I can set the volume using App Server commands.. upon sending Set Volume or Vol Up/Down commands via the web admin's Send Command under Devices, it works.. but the volume controls on none of my orbiters function.... where is the disconnect?
