Won't Install..

The Quick Install DVD just wont install for me, I've re-burned it countless times and it still wont work

i insert the CD, turnt he machine on (or restart if it was on) and on boot it says

unknown keyword in config file

could not find the kernel image: linux

boot:



and nothing works

could it be my machine?

1 Ghz celeron and 256 ram (its an old machine i just wanted to try this out before i get a dedicated machine)

also, how well does this work on VMware and such?

is it possible for me to try it in VMware on my system without any problems?

Regarding to installation DVD. Please, check md5sum. Maybe it was downloaded not completely. Regarding to VMWave. I made many installations of Plutohome. Because it allowed me to use Windows machine to play with Pluto and do some daily tasks. But the advantage of LinuxMCE is that you can play with it and perform some usual tasks on the one PC.

i downloaded it from rapidshare and un-rar'ed them all into the same spot and used hjsplit to join them all together

would it be safer to just get the torrent?

i tried that, but it was telling me 5 days to complete, but if it works perfect then i can wait
