First reboot freezes... help
« on: May 04, 2007, 04:21:53 am »
I'm a total newbie at all this including linux.
i installed ubuntu, updated it alls well. then installed linux mce waited for all the stuff to load
said it successfully installed and needs to be rebooted.
now its stuck at the ubuntu start up thing, (orange horizontal bar)
when i tried booting into recovery mode it also freezes up.
it stops when it says "setting up console font and keymap..."

I could use a lot of help if anyone has any ideas

thanks

use putty from windows from example. it's a simple program for ssh. write the address of the linux computer then you will be asked to enter name of the user and the password.
