Creating diskless fail.
« on: July 05, 2012, 06:04:25 pm »
Getting this problem:

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  pluto-mplayer-player: PreDepends: mplayer
E: Broken packages
#### Package pluto-mplayer-player failed (/tmp/tmp.wRZRA13681) - We wait 10sec and try again - to stop retrying press Ctrl-C.
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Any solution?

Seems like your sources.list is wrong.
mcc@dcerouter:~$ apt-cache policy mplayer
mplayer:
  Installed: 2:1.0~rc4.dfsg1-2yavdr0~lucid
  Candidate: 2:1.0~rc4.dfsg1-2yavdr0~lucid
  Version table:
 *** 2:1.0~rc4.dfsg1-2yavdr0~lucid 0
        500 file:/usr/pluto/deb-cache/ ./ Packages
        500 http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/ lucid/beta2 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     2:1.0~rc3+svn20090426-1ubuntu16.1+medibuntu1 0
        500 http://packages.medibuntu.org/ lucid/non-free Packages
     2:1.0~rc3+svn20090426-1ubuntu16.1 0
        500 mirror://mirrors.ubuntu.com/mirrors.txt/ lucid-updates/multiverse Packages
     2:1.0~rc3+svn20090426-1ubuntu16 0
        500 mirror://mirrors.ubuntu.com/mirrors.txt/ lucid/multiverse Packages

That should be coming from us. Can you post your cores /etc/apt/sources.list please? I am assuming that this was a net install. I guess I am also assuming this is a 1004 install.
I never quit... I just ping out.

You know... the 1004 dvd install takes just over 30 minutes... doesn't NEED internet... and diskless is embedded... no TBZ...

Just food for thought.
