md5sum disk values - these correct? - SOLVED.
« on: April 25, 2012, 05:22:42 am »
Downloaded the latest 10.04 .iso  1004-20120423001425928.iso

Did md5sum check on the .iso - matched.

Burnt an image at lowest speed (8x) with burnproof to reduce errors.

In the Bios set motherboard to boot from DVD drive.

Booted.

Received "ISOLINUX 3.63 Debian-2008-07-15 Copyright (C) 1994-2008 H. Peter Anvin boot:" message.

At this point you may press "Enter" or wait about a minute for the system to automatically boot into the LinuxMCE 10.04 Live CD GUI.

Using the arrow keys I selected "Install LinuxMCE Hybrid - Core + MD"

Received loading /casper/vmlinuz and /casper/initrd.gz......ready messages.

Received the LMCE Penguin logo and progress bar.

Progress bar stated a bit then received the following error messages.

BusyBox v1.13.3 (Ubuntu 1:1.13.3-1ubuntu11) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

(initramfs) mount: mounting /dev/loop0 on //filesystem.squashfs failed: Invalid argument
Can not mount /dev/loop0 (/cdrom/casper/filesystem.squashfs) on //filesystem.squashfs

Rebooted.

Same error.

Burnt a second image at lowest speed (8x) with burnproof to reduce errors.

Same thing.

Here's my disk checksums.  Same on both disks.

Before I go and swap out DVD burners, etc.  are these correct?

The system I am using is presently running 2.0.0.45.11112425156 (Thu Nov 24 17:04:42 2011)

I got the same error message yesterday when I tried, I've been too busy since to retest but sounds like it might be issue with that build?

20120423001425928 had a problem due to wrong squashfs-tools (there are differences between 810 and 1004, and each build needs to install a different one).

LMCE-1004-20120423221925928.iso should work fine. Feedback appreciated.

Hi,

md5sum checked out, burned at lowest speed, setup AV Wiz as vga, 1024x768, 60 hz on hybrid.

Installed GREAT!  l3mce - you da man!  Very, very, nice UI.

In time, maybe tomorrow night, (this evening is play off -game 7- between Sens and Rangers), I'll fire up first MD - Revo 330.

DragonK hope yours went OK.  So far mine is good.  I have NAS to add yet, etc, etc. will keep advised if problems.

Cheers
