I just did check in code for the rain8net device. Unfortunately I cannot test it right now as I don't have a 24V AC PS flying around. Brave hearts can compile src/Rain8Net and give it a try. You need to create Standard Irrigation Valve childs from Device Template #: 1780 after adding the Rain8Net (DT 2183) to the system. Put the Zone number into port/channel device data. On and Off are implemented for the first unit (zones 1-8). Possy will provide a package over the next few days. A PNP detection script will follow soon.

Hi,
I am also interested in THE functionality of reading the soil moisture and irrigation only when needed.
Hobbyboards.com deliver Moisture Meter and Watermark Soil Moisture Sensor.
If Hari can find some time  to do THE coding I am happy to provider him with the needed hardware.
Regards
