Hey guys,
i like LinuxMCE very much but i'm wondering if it's able to keep up with Dianemo.
For example if we're talking about upnp and stuff like this.
As far as i understood there is a close relationship but i would also be interessted where the big differences are between Dianemo 8.10 and LinuxMCE 8.10 or when it will be available 10.10.

We work closely with the LinuxMCE Devs and periodically we do some direct development on LinuxMCE too in addition to contributing code and expertise, an example of this was a few weeks back when we helped with a number of issues related to the 10.04 builds.
Dianemo is a commercially available LinuxMCE based system that is built on our build servers & has its own separate svn etc. There continues to be an enormous amount of commonality between the two but there are differences and these are often to do with priorities or differing needs. Sometimes we have a commercial need that is not really inline with LinuxMCE and in these circumstances we will go off an build something to meet that need. However is pretty much all cases these are eventually rolled back into LinuxMCE or at the very least are in the public svn for anyone to use if they choose too even if they are not 'officially' mainstream in the LinuxMCE sense.
We also share a common vision with the LinuxMCE devs that we want to move the whole LinuxMCE underlying technology to the GPL and away completely from the PPL. We 100% believe in this objective.
