Boot problems
« on: December 05, 2011, 08:37:22 am »
Hey,

My Server was running perfectly for several months.

Yesterday, i had a free day to dig in deeper into the server. I did a lot of work:
  • Installing/configuring cacti (/usr/share/cacti/...), split for linuxmce?
  • Copying a bunch of movies (400 GB) to the public folder (home/public/data/videos/xxx)
  • Playing around with the screensaver

Everything was fine, till late in the evening. Suddenly my workstations couldn't connect any more. When i checked the server, he 'frooze'. Only a hard reboot was possible. After the reboot, linuxmce doens't come up properly. Just a black screen with the mouse flash.
I can switch to console (CTRL-ALT-F2) and log in. Luckly...
The problem is like the video issue before, so i rerun AVwizard_run and choose the settings that worked for 100%. But no luck.  :'(
My workstations are getting an IP, but nothing else works (proxy, webserver...). When i scan the server, only port 2000 is listing?

Where is the best place now to look?
