Installing and using VDR on 810
« on: October 26, 2009, 08:48:34 pm »
Hi all,

Am finally up and running a 810 core, and am trying to get my KWorld 399s working with VDR. I've been following this guide (on my core) http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/VDR and have got to the point of running...

Code: [Select]
sudo scan -o vdr -p -u /usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/scan/dvb-t/uk-Hannington > channels.conf
...but this is giving me the error...

Code: [Select]
scanning /usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/scan/dvb-t/uk-Hannington
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
main:2247: FATAL: failed to open '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0': 2 No such file or directory

...which means nothing to me. I would guess it's not recognising my 399s?

Any ideas how I should proceed? I installed "v4l2-modules-source_0+hg20090324-1_all.deb" that Andrew very kindly sent to me (the "v4l2-firmware_0+hg20090324-1_all.deb" didn't run - it said "Conflicts with the installed package 'linux-firmware'").
