Hi,

Just updated from 2.34 clean install.  Looks like another re-install is necessary.

Hi,

I'm trying TailDCERouter.sh and restarting the router to see if I can find anything that makes sense.

Hi,

I got things cleared up temporarily - until another router reload by doing the following.

After the Core router message the screen goes grey.

Wait a minute then just click the left and right mouse buttons.

The main menu will appear.

Via KDE Desktop open up Webadmin>Media Directors>Software Modules>Edit.

On the Core uncheck the following...

   Xine Player
   MythTV Player
   MPlayer Player

...Save.

Then check

   Xine Player
   MythTV Player
   MPlayer Player

...Save.

Wait for the software to reload.

Select the OrbiterGL icon.

You'll get a message wanting you yo do a "Quick reload router".

You'll get a regen orbiter screen message, regen.

The flicker screen will be presented.  Things seem OK until the next router reload.

Hi,

By playing around with mythtv I can get the system running normally until the next router reload.

I do not have a tuner card.

From main menu I can not connect to Live tv and run mythtv setup.

Normally, when working, one can.

Here's my backend logs.

Damn,

I pooched my system and will have to reload.

I checked for mythconverg/sql errors/corruption - didn't have any.

Tried firewall, tried myth passwords reset, checked /etc/mythtv/mysql.txt.

Did dpkg --get-selections | grep myth to see what was installed.  Did version checks, etc.

Tried Media Director, edit software modules to see if individual package was culprit.

Tried a bunch of other things.

Sorry.

Hi,

I loaded from scratch and all is good.

Prior to reloading (during 2.34 to 2.35 upgrade problems) when I tried to go Main Menu>Media>TV the Mythtv software would not even attempt to start.

Now it starts but reports a backend problem - however, I don't have a tuner card.

Cheers.
