Intel DG45ID Motherboard Issues
« on: May 22, 2009, 12:27:48 am »
I installed Kubuntu 8.10 and installed Linuxmce 810 however after the system is up and running I have no sound.  I also tried installing Linuxmce using the dvd version. However, when the computer is trying to boot from the dvd a message comes up on the screen. What can I do to boot from the Linuxmce 710 dvd?

Thanks

The Intel DG45ID has an audio chip that is not detected correctly under 0810 if memory server me correctly...under 0710 you have the addiional problem with this mobo in that that on-board NIC drivers are not present and are not back portable to the 0710 kernel either as far as i know.

I would suggest looking at some more compatible motherboards.

All the best
