Collin,
Just hopping in;
Over the past year and a half I've been testing around with LMCE on various machines and devices.
Overall I've come to the conclusion, in my case, to avoid having media hanging around about everywhere, with the risk of losing some, when just forgetting it and reusing the machine for a new test, for me the best way would seem to put ALL of my media on some NAS system.
If I understand your previous post correctly, one would be unable to re-use a previous existing 'public' LMCE file structure... Is that correct?
Indeed I experienced that LMCE set up a new 'public' folder structure within an existing 'public' folder structure...
So what would be the best way then?
rename the existing 'public' structure, and afterwards moving it into the 'new' public structure??
Also, suppose you have mythrecordings from a different or previous setup, if you were to move or add those files into the new and existing 'tv_shows_xx' file structure, would they be recognized and added into the media database?
Thanks for your advice,
Erwin
