Installation destination change for DVD install
« on: November 23, 2008, 04:20:18 pm »
Posted this on the Installation Issues forum and no response, so, thought this might be a better place.

Trying to install LinuxMCE onto an HP Proliant DL380-G3 server.  During installation, it creates the partitions but then says it cannot find partition /dev/cciss/c0d01.  Switching to a secondary console and runing FDisk shows that the partions are being created as /dev/cciss/c0d0p1, ...P2, P3, etc.

What I want to know is, what file do I need to modify to the DVD installer to use c0d0p1 instead of c0d01?  I have scowered through the forums and the CD to find an answer.  Only solution I found was for a Dell Poweredge having the same problemj, that user was able to install Kubuntu first, then install MCE.  I tried that approach and am unable to get Kubuntu to install.

Any suggustions on modifying the MCE DVD install would be greatly appreciated.

I have not, where might I locate those scripts?  Pardon my ignorance, I'm not a developer by any strech, just an end user trying to make the thing work.
