Update Nvidia Drivers before install nvidia9800 bfg

I just tried to install LinuxMCE 7.10 Amd 64-bit  DVD on a clean machine.I can see the cmos setup and the first screen with the Install option and memory test but as soon as I select the option to install my screen goes black and the #1 trick does work for me. I think it is because my Nvidia 9800 bfg isn't support yet and i have no other video ports to use. Is there a way to get to use a generic vesa driver on the install to work or update the driver before the install.
