Has anyone tried making any iphone applications for linuxmce. I know it has accelerometer just like the firechief remote. I bet its possible to make it just like the firechief remote. We need to take advantage of this device and the PS3 since the are so popular and so open.

just an FYI,

The Fiire Chief's have a GYRO, not an accelerometer..  similar, but different.

We had a nice talk with IBM at Linuxtag, they have a project ongoing with PS3's (the cell processor)

It's too early to say for sure, but we MAY get access to a IBM Bladeserver with the same processor as a PS3, but LOTS more memory..

If that's the case, I can see a fully functional MD coming to the PS3 very quickly

Hari has done some work on the PS3, but due to the limited RAM, compiling takes for EVER...

HTH,

Either apple and sony have completely changed their ways, or I must be having a different definition of the word "open".  :P

Also please post your feature requestst in the right section of the forum.

Thats good to hear about the PS3. I hope everything works out in our favor. I ment "open" by apple having the SDK program. As for sony i was just talking about how they were orginally gona have an additional linux OS on it. But I don t know anything about bladesevers nor do i even have a PS3 yet, but it sounds like sony had good intentions in the first place. Thanks for the info guys.
