I would think someone who honestly believes they can get a system working that networks all of the technology in their house, would be knowledgeable enough to know how to install a OS. And if they didn't know exactly what was going to happen when they went to install it, research it a little first.
Also, considering the price difference between Vista and LinuxMCE, I don't think it's even remotely intelligent to assume that the developers need to worry about holding our hands through any of this. I would say be grateful there are people charitable enough to create something like this, allow us to use it and offer any help what-so-ever. Instead of complaining because you lacked the patience to read what they took the time to write.
Personally, I have nothing but a huge thank you for the developers.
