Samsung 46" LCD M8... working with USBUIRT
« on: February 06, 2008, 01:22:30 am »
Has anybody got this TV working with the USB UIRT module yet? I set it up following the wizard, and it definitely transmits the codes to the TV, and it responds.

However - it is sending the codes at the wrong time! ie. it is sending an Off command whenever I hit the TV button! The exact opposite of what you want. In fact it seems to be sending Off more than any other command, at alsorts of unusal and inappropriate times.

In fact, the only thing I really want it to do is switch the TV on and off at the right time - when I hit the power button on my Fiire remote, or if media (video) starts playing, etc. All my sound is via my amp, and I am only using one input on the TV, so there really isn't much else I want it to do.

BTW - no it isn't sending toggle commands, I configured it with discrete commands, which it supports, and testing confirms that is what it is sending...

Hey Colinjones - did you get anywhere with this one ???

Sorry I'm of no help yet (don't have LMCE running ATM) but I have this TV as well. Hopefully you can get it running for us both  ;D

No, sorry - haven't revisited this yet as I am straightening out a few other issues. Will get back onto this soon - probably after I do my next rebuild as I think I have screwed it up a little!

Actually, I think I am going to wait until 0710 is released, as Hari said the new Marantz SR amp pnp script and template will be in it. My setup is LMCE->Marantz(HDMI&SPDIF)->Samsung M8(HDMI), so I want to set it up properly. At the moment it is configured as if it were LMCE->Samsung ignoring the amp because I couldn't get that working.
